On another tangent, PC related of course...

Were the PC step & footboard edges and handrail ends always painted
yellow, or were some painted white?

All of the color prototype photos I have seen show yellow.

On B&W prints, the handrails look like white.  There is no way to
distinguish yellow from white in a B&W print.

I have seen some modelers (myself included) paint the highlighted areas
using white, since way back then, all some of us had were B&W photos to go
by.

Does anyone have color pix showing a PC loco with white safety highlights?
(Despatch Loco #15 excluded)
