One thing to remember about the difference between the 628 and 630/636 Alcos
is they had different cabs. The 628 has a straight angle from middle of nose
to edge of cab front where the 630/636 had an angle to the edge of the short
hood then straight out to the sides. The other problem with the 630 is that
depending on who ordered them some units came with the Hi-Ad trucks which have
a different axle spacing than the Tri-mounts on the 628. All of the 636's that
were built had the Hi-ad trucks. The 630 will appear in the future not as sure
about the 636.    Ken McCorry
