When the B&O Silver Springs depot burned, I rescued quite a few artifacts
consistin of tariffs, a station book, miscellaneous forms and eventually
turned them over to a museum for preservation, namely the Erie Depot museum at
Industry, NY. I made two trips a day between my home then at Silver Lake and
Silver Springs on my 5 speed bike with a tote back and crammed it with what I
could safely carry making two trips a day and had the depot remains pretty
much cleaned of any savable paper items.
