The New York Central GP30s were the earlier of the two groups of GP30s. These
GP30s did not have dynamic brakes nor did the GP35s that followed, save one
unit.The Pennsy got its GP30s near the end of production of that model, so
other than the dynamic brakes, most of the changes between the two groups were
cosmetic or minor in nature. At least that is my guess. I hope I was at least
some help.
