And the sub-lettering of locomotives probably will not last all that long,
either. It's more paperwork and costs more that way - it's why NS did away
with the Southern sublettering, and CSX did away with all of it's
sublettering for B&O, C&O, L&N, etc., etc. The cars could last longer
though, since there are still some 800 cars alone lettered for the Reading
