PC: Re: Ex-PC Locomotives in Service?

Not a lot on Conrail, really -

The remaining SW1500's are mainly ex-PC as are:
GP38's in the 7600-7900 series with a lot of holes in the group
some 6900-series SD40 rebuilds
SD38's (also 6900's)

Guilford operates a good 50 former PC GP40's; other PC GP40's are all over
the place on KCS, UP (from MKT and SP), and all kinds of places - some were
rebuilt into GP40PH units for NJT. GP38's are also floating around all
over. Old EMD's have 9 lives or so, it seems. SD45's also have to be
being operated, most likely as rebuilds such as the SD40-2M's on SP - some
of these went from PC to CR to CN&W to SP to now UP -

A handful of shortlines that run GP30's and GP35's have units that ran for
PC operating still.

There is one U23B currently on the Reading & Northern (2717) and there are
a few other GE's but I dont think they total over 10 units. You can buy
one if you have an extra $60-90K to throw around. I think the others
predate PC purchase, also.
