I believe the earliest E7s on the Central side were the first units to leave
the roster and did so prior to the merger. I have a copy of the book, New York
Central Diesel Locomotives and will check it  to be sure. I believe the
Central had a purge of its junkers underway by that time, I could be wrong.
Anyone else with a copy of this book might do well to check it.
