GP38 No. 8014 is definitely on Conrail's roster as while Conrail let alot of
these units go when their leases expired, there were also a number of units
that got wrecked in accidents and were stricken from the roster and scrapped
as they were damaged well beyond repair. demolition derby on the rails, if you
will. Genesee and Wyoming and Buffalo and Pittsburgh wound up with a number of
the GP38s, including dual control- equipped 7822, which was apparently a
former PRSL unit. It has the front cabwall built out to accommodate the second
control stand. I hope this will be of help.
