There has to be some mistake in the PC number. After that was received,
refusing to believe that there were only that number left of over 70,000
employees, I asked my friend, Bobby O'Brien engineer on Conrail (hired out in
1974) he has many people ahead of him and many behind, just on the Albany
Division. He thinks it's also more and suggests that that number reflects the
number of Conrail employees with "Job Protection" (5 or more years with Penn
Central) of which he is one. Sorry, 90 is just not enough.
