PC: New Haven NE-2 and NE-3 cabooses

Hi fellas
  Since were on the subject of cabooses, I was wondering what the status of
the NE-2 and NE-3 cabooses going into Penn Central?  These cars were very
similiar to the Pennsy N-5.  Did any of these cars get repainted into PC
colors or recieve new road numbers?
  I have a picture dated 12-25-71 in Caboose Data Book 1a from NJ
International.  The caboose has a white line through the numbers, apparently
for disposition of some sort.  It's still in New Haven colors.
