Subject: PC: PC Depot detroit

Hi , I'm new to the list and would like to find some information. Does any one know of any information on the PC(MC, NYC ) depot that is in downtown Detroit. I remember  going there with my father(retired conrail(MC, NYC, PC) engineer). I would like to eventualy model it in HO but need some(any ) info on it.  Thanks.

Tim,

Trains Magazine had a huge two-part feature on Detroit's Michigan Central Terminal in its August and September 1978 editions.  About 40 pages in all, with lots of text and even a few plans and elevations of the station itself.  Great for modelling purposes.  Also lots of detailed photos of the building from the 1920s to the 1970s.  The two-part feaure also included details on the history of the Michigan Central and its Canada Southern lessee.

You should be able to pick up the back issues by way of Trains' website at www.trains.com   I checked the site out just before writing this e-mail to double check the dates.  They still have copies of both these issues in stock --  at $4.50 each.

P.S.:  Welcome to the group!
