There are definitely a few of Pennsy's oldest SD40s still running around on
Conrail and these are part of the 6960-6999 group of SD40s rebuilt to SD40-2
standards, but retaining the original carbodies, frames, trucks and look of
the older SD40s they were delivered as. There are three CNJ SD40s as well as
10 KCS units also in this group, but I believe the vast majority are Pennsy
