The early Conrail years look like they are worth modelling with the rainbow
consists containing locomotives of Penn Central, Lehigh Valley, Reading, Erie
Lackawanna units mixed together in the same lashup with Canadian National,
Missouri Pacific, and Union Pacific thrown in for good measure. I saw quite a
few of these consists on the main line at Bergen NY back in the late 1970s.
