In the Michigan area from what I remember:

There were quite a few NYC cars for a number of years, but not as much PRR
around here (ex NYC lines Detroit-Chicago).  I also have a slide I took of a
NYC car in the early 90's on the CR main in Ohio.

2) How quickly were engines repainted PC?
By about 1970 or 71, everything through here was PC colors that I remember.
