Thank you Bill K for pointing out a problem we would have to deal
with if this car were to be accepted by the museum. Getting it
here...We are a non profit organization and as suach have limited
funds and a small volunteer base so any work anyone would "volunteer"
toward the car being moved here the better, hurry before the merger
is complete though...
Our Web Page has been moved....http://NYCRRmuseum.Railfan.net
Please note this.
Thank you,

you might want to work on a way for it to get there... Conrail never was
too friendly to moving "junk" unless you knew the right people, it may have
to go on a flatcar to get there - the more homework done, the more likely
someone is to accept the car.

: After all of our conversation, how many people are interested in, or plan
to
: e-mail the National New York Central Railroad Museum's Executive
Director,
: David Bird about the National New York Central RR Museum preserving the
ex-
: NYC, ex-PC MU car we're all talking about? As I said in my other e-mail,
this
: car needs to be preserved soon or it'll bne gone for good and then none
of us
: can get photos of it. So now that we've made it (MU # 1077) so popular,
how
: many people are interested in e-mailing the National NYC RR Museum, one
of the
: last places and MOST fitting place for this car to go, to talk the
National
: NYC RR Museum into acquiring this car?
:
: I hope the results are good for old # 1077's sake!
