I guess that within the next 10 years the BNSF and UP will have 
merged with CSXT and NS. We will have two super power railroads 
running coast to cost. UP has to get its act together and Conrail has 
to be digested before this happens.

Boy, 20 years ago, looking at all the new Conrail repaints of PC's equipment,
I sure never imagined that within just a couple decades, Conrail too would
follow PC, PRR NYC, & NH into the land of merger/acquisition oblivion.  I
wonder what the situation will look like in another 20 years!
