PC: New caboose question

The NYC was bulding the N6A to replace their old wood cabooses.

Since Penn Central continued to build them, and bought other old steel
cabooses from other railroads. 

Did the wood cabooses operate under the PC ownership?

I am not aware of any that did.


The question I posed about the R next to the number - The answer seems to be
restricted. Either to local service or a speed restriction.
