Rather than lightning stripes, try the cigar band scheme w/ white scare
stripes on the pilot and a white sill stripe; should be pretty sharp....
Trains had a drawing of a F40PH in stripes some time back, perhaps
that would guve you some idea on how to do that. No idea what issue
it was however.
