Nope, it's authentic. Not very many were done that way, but I've seen a
couple of pictures that did have the black worms and slant lettering.
One shot that I know of is in the EL in Color Vol 1 book, one of the
shots around Newton, IN. (Don't have my book here at work, so I can't tell you
more.)
