Hello! For those of you who don't know me, I'm Jerry Jordak, the
"owner" of the PC Mailing List and the maintainer of the Penn Central
Railroad Home Page. I thought I'd at least say hi to everyone,
since it's been three weeks or so now, and I haven't even sent
anything to my own mailing list. :-)
Right now, we have 34 people subscribed to the Penn Central list,
which is pretty good in my estimation for just getting the list
started. Hopefully this will grow. Thanks for your interest
in the PC list.
Lastly, I am starting a project next month on building a model
railroad based on the ex-PRR Erie & Pittsburgh line between the
cities of its name. The modelled portion will be between New
Castle and Greenville, PA, with Sharon, PA, and the Sharon Steel
plant figuring prominently in the layout's design. The time frame
will about circa 1970. I am looking for information on the line's
operations for duplicating on the layout. Specifically, I need
to find info on schedules and train symbols, industries served,
and track diagrams for the line, with a major need for the track
arrangements at the Wheatland and New Castle. I know this is a
specific request, but if anyone can point me to this information,
I would really appreciate it. (And if you live in the Cleveland
area, you're welcome to come operate on it when it's done!)
Holiday greetings to all!
Later,
-Jer
